T92 single action fixed clamp"Single-action-system" through the self-locking gliding system. String and string-friendly aluminium clamps. The clamping system is fully adjustable and fits all tennis racquets. | T98 dual action fixed clampSame clamps as T92 but operates with a double action. This system moves arround very easily and has locks tolerance free. | TH flying clamp
As their name says, they are not fixed to the machines, instead they are mobile. Strong aluminum castings make bending impossible. "String friendly" clamp teeth protect string from damage. The clamping force can be accurately adjusted. Easy gripping of the string because the clamp opens very wide

"TH / T98 prepared turntable" (upgrade from flying to fixed clamps) If you've bought your Stringway machine equipped with the "TH/T98 prepared turntable" clampsystem then you can easily add the "clamp system T98" (see the "Accessories" section).
If not, all Stringway machines can still be upgraded, but you must purchase both the "clamp system T98" and the "TH/T98 prepared turntable" (see the "Accessories" section).

| 1. Ratchet Systems With most drop weight systems it is necessary to get the drop weight lever horizontal to tension the string at the adjusted tension. Most of these machines features a ratchet system that makes it easier to position the lever horizontally. The biggest drawback of a ratchet system is that the stringer has to maintain the tension in the string "by hand" while the lever is lifted for the next stroke. The use of a ratchet system costs time and loss of accuracy. What makes it necessary to keep the drop weight lever horizontal?
| The tension depends upon the angle, because "H" is different for every angle while "R" remains the same. |
| 2. The Stringway System "Maximum Accuracy without a Ratchet System"In order to tension the string at the adjusted tension with the Stringway Drop Weight System, it is not necessary to position the lever horizontally, the tension in the string is the same for every angle of the drop weight lever irrespective of the drop weight position.
What makes it necessary to keep the drop weight lever horizontal?

| The tension is the same for every angle, because the distance"V" and the distance "H" both change and therefore the ratio between "V" and "H" remains the same.

Automatic dropweight lever Accuracy with "Perfect constant pull" action.
The tension is the same for every angle of the lever, which has 3 advantages:
1) the accuracy of the system is very reliable
2) The stirnger does not have to pay attention to the angle of the drop weight lever
3) The tension is maintained during the slow elongation of the string | Direct system racquet supportMost modern machines apply only two types of racquet support. 1) The direct system: when the racquet frame does not get shorter it does not get wider either. The main strings pull the racquet frame inwards making it shorter. Direct supports push the frame outwards and prevent it from getting shorter . 2) The indirect system: an "indirect" support system has four supports supporting the outside of the racquet frame. Outside supports prevent the racquet frame from distorting wider. Because getting shorter is the main problem, a racquet support with outside supports prevents it from getting wider with an indirect racquet support. All Stringway machines are using the Direct System! |

Racquet support system "O91"This system can be mounted on all Stringway machines. The racquet head is supported at 3 points and the bridge at 2 points. Very wide delrin supports protect the frame from damage. The throat supports can be adjusted according to the frame thickness.
 | Racquet support system "O92"This system can be mounted on all Stringway machines. The racquet head is supported at 3 points and the bridge at 2 points. Very wide delrin supports protect the frame from damage. The throat supports can be adjusted according to the frame thickness. The difference between racquet support O91 and O92 is the additional small steel turning plate fitted at the throat side that swivels so that it is very easy to get both supports agains the racquet.
